Steve Serra is a Baltimore native, married and resides in Middle River, MD with his wife Keely, and stepson Dylan. He has a daughter who resides in Forest Hill, MD, and a son who is attending graduate school in Brooklyn, NY at The New School. His other stepson, Colin, his wife, Ashley, and youngest son, Grayson, live nearby with their spoiled Golden Doodle, Cali, who Steve and Kelly take for regular hikes. Steve enjoys the outdoors, hiking, traveling, and spending time with family and friends. Steve is extremely grateful for his years of contented sobriety and recovery (over 25 years).

Steve’s career has been primarily in the human resources management arena, and he has held numerous leadership roles with state and local government, and the private sector. Steve earned his MS degree in Industrial & Organizational Psychology, a BS degree from Towson University in Business Administration and Psychology, and he is a SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SCP). Steve is a graduate of Baltimore Polytechnic Institute. He is presently working half-time as a Human Resources Project Manager for Johns Hopkins University, and works under contract as a Consultant for PRM Consulting, LLC. Steve is excited to embark on this role as a board member with the Valley/Bridge House as a way to volunteer his services in support of this much needed and extremely worthwhile institution.
