Aparna Nagaraju is the Manager of Evidence Based Practice Services & Quality Management at the Behavioral Health Administration – part of Maryland Department of Health. With a B.A. in Psychology from UMBC and an MSW from the UMB School of Social Work, Aparna is currently an LMSW and working towards a higher license. 

Aparna has spent most of her career working with adults with serious mental illness (SMI) in non-profits around Baltimore and has a wide range of knowledge and experience in case management, vocational services, program development, staff development, housing and homeless services, and other human services that provide a holistic approach to treating a person in their environment. She has a strong passion for ensuring that persons in recovery are placed at the heart of person-centered care planning. She believes in services along a continuum of care to support the many physical, mental and emotional needs a person needs to be successful. 

When not working, Aparna enjoys spending time with her husband, family, pets and travelling.
